Clemson, Florida State, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Syracuse, Virginia and Virginia Tech were selected to compete in the event, which begins Thursday, with all games this year being contested in the Indianapolis area.

The Big 12 has placed a nation-high 70 percent of its teams in the 2021 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship. The Conference has seven selections for the sixth time in the last 11 tournaments, including five seasons in the past seven years the event was conducted.

For the first time in 28 years and the fourth time overall, Georgia Tech men’s basketball is the Atlantic Coast Conference champion! Tournament MVP Michael Devoe paced four Yellow Jackets in double-figures with 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting to lead fourth-seeded Tech to a 80-75 victory over No. 2-seeded and No. 13-ranked Florida State in the 2021 ACC Championship Game on Saturday night at Greensboro Coliseum.

Senior guard Matt Coleman III registered a career-high 30 points, and senior forward Jericho Sims added a career-best 21 points and 14 rebounds to pace No. 13/16 Texas (19-7) to an exciting 91-86 victory against No. 12/14 Oklahoma State (20-8) on Saturday night at the T-Mobile Center in the title game of the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship. With the victory, UT captured the Big 12 postseason tournament crown for the first time in school history and secured the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
