Why the Big 12 should give favorable calls to it's top teams?

The media is head over heels with Deion and Coloroado. Does the Big 12 have big brand teams? That's up to you to decide but I do think they see a big brand in Deion. Just imagine Colorodo winning the Big 12 in year one. Big Noon will this week will be at the Colorado - Utah game.

You want your league to have a undefeated champion going into the playoff so your champion can get the 1 or 2 seed in the playoff.

Big 12 refs calling favorable plays for BYU. I could see it just due to the fact they don't want their champion left out of the playoff. Now you may say the Big 12 champion is a shoe in for the CFP. The thing is the playoff is the 5 highest ranked champions and 7 at large. Outside of BYU, the next 5 times in play (Colorado, ISU, Kansas St and Arizona St) all have 2 losses while WVU has 4 losses. Good chance the league office told the refs to give BYU some favorable calls after that KU-ISU game (No, this is just Mac speaking, I'm not trying to do the KU homer gimmick at all). I don't think I've ever seen an AD sit in a press confernece and talk about the refs making questionable calls in public. I wouldn't be surprised if we see some questionable calls next week when BYU hosts 3-6 Kansas. Last thing the league wants is their top team getting beat by a 3-6 team. The team that was picked to finish last (Arizona St) in the Big 12 is very close to making the Big 12 title game as well.

You don't want your leage left out of the playoff: Now the other problem is that we have multiple G5 teams that could end up as the 5th highest ranked champion this late in the season but there are two that could cause the Big 12 champ to miss out on the playoffs completely. Will need a lot of chaos and the underdog to win the Big 12 championsihp game. Not saying it's possbile but it could be possbile. Lets say the Big 12 champ ends up with 3 losses. On the G5 front there's 12-1 MW champion Boise St who's only loss would be a 1 point loss to Oregon and a 12-0 AAC Champion Army with a win vs a top 25 ranked ND team. Would the committee rank Army and Boise higher than the Big 12 champion causing the Big 12 champ to miss out on the playoff? Would the Big 12 champ get an at large big causing them to steal a bid from another SEC or B1G team?
