Redshirt senior Ivan Mora was named to the Ray Guy Award "Ray's 8" list following his week seven performance against Clemson. Mora has also been named to the Ray Guy Award Preseason Watchlist, Week 1 Ray's 8 and Week 3 Ray's 8, he is having the best punting season of his career, averaging 45.9 yards per punt including 10 punts of 50+ yards.

It came down to the last possession, but at the final whistle UCF came up a few plays short as the Knights fell to Cincinnati, 19-13, Saturday evening at FBC Mortgage Stadium. After the UCF defense forced a punt with 58 seconds remaining, the Black and Gold drove the ball down to the 25-yard line before a sack ended the game and gave the Bearcats the road win.
