Among those honored, 11 were nominated with 4.00 grade point averages: Logan Carter (Oklahoma State), Patrick Curley (Texas Tech), Dawson Deaton (Texas Tech), Marquis Hayes (Oklahoma), Charlie Kolar (Iowa State), Kwinton Lassiter (Kansas), Bryan Mead (Oklahoma), Tanner Schafer (Oklahoma), Zach Schmit (Oklahoma), Devin Staton (Oklahoma) and Gabriel Watson (Texas).

Director of Athletics Whit Babcock announced on Tuesday that Virginia Tech and head football coach Justin Fuente have mutually agreed to part ways. Babcock indicated that a national search is underway to fill the position. J.C. Price will serve as interim head coach for the remainder of the 2021 season.

The University of Utah Football program collected its second straight road win against the Arizona Wildcats with a 38-29 triumph at Arizona Stadium. The Utes improved to 7-3 overall and 6-1 in Pac-12 play heading into their final two regular season games.
