Michigan State's men's basketball team will be among eight schools playing in the Battle 4 Atlantis next season. The highly-anticipated college basketball tournament is among the most challenging of the early-season Division I tournaments and will be celebrating its 10th year in The Bahamas after being postponed in 2020.
The Battle 4 Atlantis, which will include a women's field for the first time, will be held from Nov. 24-26.
The Battle 4 Atlantis men's field is among the most impressive in its history, with teams accounting for eight national championships, 27 Final Four appearances and 70 conference championships.
In addition to Michigan State, the field includes Arizona State, Auburn, Baylor, Connecticut, Loyola-Chicago, Syracuse and Virginia Commonwealth.
This will be Michigan State's second trip to The Bahamas to play in the Battle 4 Atlantis. The Spartans appeared in the tournament in 2016. MSU beat St. John's in the opening round, lost to Baylor in the semifinals and bounced back to beat Wichita State.
