A 27-point performance from Buddy Boeheim led Syracuse (16-8) to an 89-68 victory against NC State (13-10) in the second round of the ACC Tournament on Wednesday afternoon at Greensboro Coliseum.

HOW THE GAME WAS DECIDED
The Orange emphatically opened the second half with 10 unanswered points on a trio of 3-pointers from Quincy Guerrier, Alan Griffin, and Joseph Girard III as well as a free-throw make from Girard III. The Syracuse lead never fell below 12 for the remainder of the contest as the Orange secured a 21-point victory, 89-68.

Boeheim's 27 points were one shy of the program record for points in an ACC Tournament game behind Frank Howard's 28-point effort versus Duke on March 14, 2019. Boeheim was joined in double figures by Girard III (14 points), Griffin (12 points), Guerrier (12 points), and Robert Braswell (11 points). Griffin also tied Boeheim for the team-lead in assists (5) and led the Orange on the glass with eight boards.
