For the first time since June 2019, Wichita State athletes will compete in outdoor track and field meets.

Director of Track and Field and Cross Country Steve Rainbolt announced the Shockers' 2021 slate of competition, which includes 10 meets.

Cessna Stadium will play host for the first time since the 2019 American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships. The Shockers open up with the Shocker Spring Invitational on March 26 for their first of four home meets.

The KT Woodman Classic returns in 2021. The multis section of that meet will take place on April 14 and 15. The track and field events are slated for April 17. The Shocker Pre-State Challenge (the high school meet accompanying KT Woodman) is set for April 15 and 16.

The Shocker women will head to Tampa as defending outdoor conference champions. The 2021 AAC Outdoor Championships are set for May 14-16 in the Sunshine State.

The NCAA West Regionals are set for May 27-29. Qualifying Shockers will make their way to College Station, Texas, to compete at Texas A&M's two-year-old facility, E.B. Cushing Stadium.

NCAA titles will be earned in Eugene, Oregon. The long-time home of the NCAA Championships is hosting for the first time since 2018 as Hayward Field underwent an estimated $200 million reconstruction from June 2018 to June 2020.
