The Illinois Track & Field Team hosted the Illini Big Ten Multi Meet this Friday and Saturday at the UI Armory. With conference teams split up as the B1G Cross Country Championships took place Saturday, Nebraska, Purdue, Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota joined the Fighting Illini in the men's heptathlon and the women's pentathlon.
Sophomore Alexander Babbington was the lone Illini competitor in the heptathlon, taking part in the action on both Friday and Saturday. He got off to an excellent start, winning the 60 m dash and placing fourth in the long jump. Babbington finished seventh overall, with a total of 3886 points.

In the women's pentathlon, junior Lucy Lux-Rulon competed for the hosting Illini on Saturday and placed 13th with a total of 2957 points.
