Wake Forest men's soccer senior Garrison Tubbs has been named to the United Soccer Coaches' Defenders to Watch list, as announced.
Tubbs is one of only two ACC defenders selected to the 24-man watch list.
Through his first three seasons with the Demon Deacons, Tubbs has appeared in 54 career matches with 52 starts, tallying 13 points off seven assists and three goals while Wake Forest has recorded 22 clean sheets during that span.
During his junior season in 2022, Tubbs earned All-ACC Second-Team, United Soccer Coaches All-South Region First Team and United Soccer Coaches First-Team Scholar All-American honors as he started all 20 of his appearances to record two goals and two assists while anchoring a backline that recorded eight clean sheets.
As a sophomore, the three-time All-ACC Academic Team selection recorded a career-high five assists while serving as an outside back.
In his debut season with the Deacs in 2020-21, Tubbs appeared in 13 matches with 12 starts.
With three NCAA Tournament berths and back-to-back Round of 16 trips in 2021 and 2022, Tubbs has been vital in extending Wake Forest's consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances streak to 12-straight years, eight more than any other ACC program.
Wake Forest, ranked No. 18 in the preseason United Soccer Coaches poll, opens the regular season on Thursday, Aug. 24 at Spry Stadium against Grand Canyon in the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
