Following a tumultuous season that saw schedules altered and adjusted, the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) unveiled its traditional-format, 96-game conference schedule for the 2021-22 season on Wednesday. As was the case in its first seven seasons (and for some teams last season), all eight teams will play a 24-game conference slate for the NCHC’s ninth season of competition.

For the first time since the 2005-06 season, a Madison-area native will wear the 'C' for Wisconsin men's hockey.
Forward and Verona native Tarek Baker will serve as team captain for the 2021-22 campaign. Baker was one of UW's alternate captains in each of the past two seasons.

University of Massachusetts hockey sophomore defenseman Zac Jones has signed an entry-level contract with the New York Rangers, foregoing the final two seasons of his NCAA eligibility. The 2019 third round draft pick becomes the seventh player in head coach Greg Carvel's UMass tenure to ink an NHL deal.
