With the 2024-25 Miami Hockey season concluded, several RedHawk student-athletes have signed pro deals to continue their on-ice careers. Six different Miami players have moved on to join the professional ranks: Colby Ambrosio, Spencer Cox, Christophe Fillion, Conner Hutchison, Dylan Moulton and Ryan Sullivan.
Ambrosio and Moulton have both inked deals with the Toledo Walleye of the ECHL. Ambrosio, a Hobey Baker nominee, led the RedHawks in goals and shared the team point lead this season (7-13-20). The forward from Welland, Ontario finished his college career with 86 points in 172 games played and appeared in the 2024 national championship game with Boston College. Moulton, who served as an assistant captain for Miami this year, put up seven points (3-4-7) for the Red and White during the 2024-25 campaign. A defenseman from Nolensville, Tenn., Moulton played a total of 148 games in a Miami sweater and finished with 32 career points (14-18-32).
Cox will join the ECHL's Indy Fuel after playing 50 games for the RedHawks over the past two seasons. The defenseman from Dublin, Ohio owns 45 career points in 118 games between Miami and LIU, and put up four points this season (1-3-4).
Fillion has signed with the Idaho Steelheads in the ECHL to continue a career that saw him skate in 158 college games and win a national title at Quinnipiac in 2023. The forward from Sherbrooke, Quebec played every game for Miami this season and contributed 10 points (4-6-10), finishing his career with a total of 64 points over five seasons (29-35-64).
Hutchison is headed to the Greenville Swamp Rabbits of the ECHL. The blueliner from Long Island, N.Y. skated in 33 games for Miami this year and accumulated nine points (2-7-9). He played a total of 112 college games, including previous stops at Vermont and Sacred Heart, with 44 total points to his credit (9-35-44).
Sullivan, who captained the RedHawks this year, finishes his college career with 30 points in 153 games, including a 2021 national championship with Massachusetts. He will join the Savannah Ghost Pirates in the ECHL. Sullivan put up 10 points this year for Miami and did not miss a game; the fifth-year forward from Grosse Pointe, Mich. collected 11 goals and eight assists across his two seasons wearing the Red and White.
