The No. 7 Wisconsin men's hockey team (14-8-0, 12-6-0 0-1-0) bounced back with a 3-2 win over the No. 8 Michigan Wolverines (11-7-0, 9-7-0 1-0-0), winning their first one-goal game of the season at Yost Ice Arena on Sunday.

Dylan Holloway opened up the scoring at 8:51 in the first period. The play started back in the Badgers zone where Tyler Inamoto made a breakout pass to Roman Ahcan on the wing. Ahcan skated the puck through the neutral zone and passed to Holloway who shouldered through Michigan's defense and found the back of the net.

Give an assist to UW equipment Manager Nate LaPoint, who handed Holloway a stick in stride to replace the one the forward broke in the defensive end.

The Badgers held a 1-0 lead throughout the first period and most of the second.

Michigan's Owen Power evened the score at 12:35 in the second period, assisted by Kent Johnson and Thomas Bordeleau.

The Badgers reclaimed the lead with a power-play goal from Roman Ahcan at 17:44 in the second. Ahcan scored on the third rebound shot after Holloway passed to him in front of the net. Ty Pelton-Byce also picked up an assist on the play.

Wisconsin headed into the third period with a 2-1 lead.

Just 28 seconds into the final frame, the Badgers scored their third goal of the game after a rebound on a shot from Owen Lindmark bounced off of Dominick Mersch and into the net.

The Wolverines pulled their goaltender with under three minutes remaining in the game and Brendan Brisson scored with the extra attacker, cutting the Badger's lead to 3-2.

The Badgers closed out the game from there with the help of a late power-play opportunity and a couple of big saves from freshman goaltender Cameron Rowe.
