Huh - I thought their crust had some kind of dried herbs in them, but I guess I am mistaken.

There's some Italian seasoning in the garlic butter that they baste onto the crust (edge).

It really is a simple recipe, and I typically just "wing it," but just in case, here's a slightly detailed breakdown of the "official copycat"...

Ingredients for Dominos Copycat Dough
  • 1 1/3 cup water (room temperature at 80°F)
  • 1 tsp dry active yeast (Use instant yeast, if you want to start baking in less than two hours)
  • 3 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 to 2 tsp salt
  • 4 Tbsp oil (soybean oil)
  • 3 Tbsp dry milk (I sometimes just replace 1/3 cup of water with regular milk)
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 4 cups bread flour (used King Arthur Special Patent Flour)
Mixing, Portioning, and ... Etc?
  • Combine the water, yeast, sugar, salt, and oil in a large mixing bowl.
  • Add dry milk (if you're not using wet milk), baking powder, and flour.
  • Stir together and mix for 7 minutes (low speed in the mix, using the bread hook)
  • Portion two or three balls of dough. i.e. Two to three large pizzas, depending on thickness desired. How thick do you like 'em?
  • Coat each ball of dough in cornmeal before you roll it out.
Cooking:
  • Preheat the overn to 500°F
  • Stretch out your dough on a large pan. Poke with a fork to prevent bubbling, and help cooking.
  • Top that sucker with sauce, cheese, and the stuff you like. It's your pizza, after all.
  • Cook on the bottom rack for 10-12 minutes or until the crust is dark brown.
  • Slice it up or do a Scooby Doo thing where you fold it into a giant pizza roll and enjoy.

Ahhh - it's in the butter, not the dough. Okay. That makes a lot more sense. Haven't had Domino's in a minute.
