Greg Sankey has had enough of the NCAA's baloney was created by queenszep
Greg Sankey has had enough of the NCAA dragging their feet when it comes to investigations and rulings on infractions. The legendary SEC commissioner had a letter leak where he tells the NCAA to crap or get off the pot.
"In the letter, Sankey asserts that the association is verging on a “crisis of confidence” with member schools and the public at large, due its handling of violations, investigations and sanctions. The letter accompanies a document reviewing a recent NCAA Division I Council session on infractions, which will be a point of discussion at the NCAA convention in January."
“Despite numerous reviews, working groups, task forces and commissions, the enforcement and infractions process continues to present meaningful challenges affecting member relations and public relations while raising concerns that, if left unaddressed, will emerge as a crisis of confidence..."
Say what you will about the SEC, but it's nice to see a high-profile commissioner come out and say "enough is enough". No one with this kind of standing has told the NCAA to get their act together as far as we know, so maybe the six page letter will get the NCAA's attention.
The letter is summarized more in this www.si.com/college/2020/12/10/ncaa-baske...greg-sankey-letterSI article .

"You're not going to win every race you run. That doesn't mean you just stop running."
Replied by C. Austin Cox on topic Greg Sankey has had enough of the NCAA's baloney
This gives me a big, "Leaked to test public opinion and begin trying to expose and grow the 'cracks' in the NCAA before the inevitable begins - Autonomy 5 separation from the NCAA" vibe.
