Iowa State senior linebacker Mike Rose is one of 12 semifinalists for the Rotary Lombardi Award.
The Rotary Lombardi Award is given annually to the college football offensive/defensive lineman or linebacker, who in addition to outstanding performance and ability, best exemplifies the character and discipline of NFL Hall of Fame head coach Vince Lombardi.
A native of Brecksiville, Ohio, Rose is one of the nation's top linebackers. The 2020 Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year is currently fourth in the Big 12 in TFL (6.5) and is second on the squad in tackles per game at 6.8.
Rose has six career interceptions and his 35.5 career TFL is second-best in school history.
Rose has started 43-straight games, the ninth-best active starting streak in FBS.
