Temple Football announced the hiring of Preston Brown as the Director of Player Personnel. Brown joins Adam DiMichele and Zach Gold in the recruiting department along with recently appointed recruiting coordinator Gabe Infante.
"Preston will be a strong addition to the Temple Football program," said Temple Head Coach Rod Carey. "He has had a long relationship with our program and knows the type of student-athletes we want here. He's very well thought of locally and nationally. He will be huge addition to our recruiting efforts."
Brown joins the program from Woodrow Wilson High School where he served as the Head Coach since 2015.
"I have watched this Temple football program for most of my life and I am forever grateful to Coach Carey for this tremendous honor to be a part of Temple University Football," Brown said.
During his time at Woodrow Wilson, Brown led the team to state championships in 2018 and 2019, as well as a regional championship in 2019. During this time, Brown coached and developed the 2019 New Jersey Gatorade Player of the Year.
Before his time at Woodrow Wilson, Brown worked as the Offensive Coordinator for Camden High School from 2012 to 2014. During his stint, Camden went undefeated for two straight years, and Brown coached 14 first-team All-State players.
Before his coaching career started, Brown played wide receiver for Tulane University where he was a two-time team captain, graduating in 2007. With the Green Wave, Brown earned Third Team All-Conference USA honors, catching 47 passes for 720 receiving yards and six touchdowns. Later, Brown earned a Master of Education degree from American InterContinental University in 2009.
