The second day of the 2025 NFL Draft saw 11 Big 12 players selected in the second and third rounds to bring the Conference’s total to 13 picks through the first two days.
The Big 12 Conference has now had 13 players selected in the first three rounds of the draft for a third consecutive year, matching its high since garnering 14 draft picks in rounds one through three in the 2010 NFL Draft.
The second round began with two Big 12 players going in the first five picks. Iowa State wideout Jayden Higgins was selected by Houston with the 34th pick, and Arizona offensive lineman Jonah Savaiinaea went to Miami three picks later.
The second round also ended with a pair of Conference selections in quick order, beginning with TCU wideout Jack Bech who was the 58th overall pick by Las Vegas. UCF running back RJ Harvey would go to Denver two picks later.
The Big 12 produced half of the eight wide receivers taken in the first two rounds of the draft.
Seven more Big 12 athletes heard their names called in the third round with Iowa State defensive back Darien Porter going 68th overall to Las Vegas. Oklahoma State linebacker Nick Martin went 75th to the San Francisco before ISU’s Jaylin Noel joined his fellow Cyclone wideout, Higgins, in Houston with the 79th pick.
A run of three Big 12 athletes in five picks began with K-State defensive back Jacob Parrish going 84th to Tampa Bay, and TCU’s Savion Williams became the sixth Conference wide receiver taken when he was picked by Green Bay three picks later. West Virginia’s Wyatt Milum was the 89th overall selection by Jacksonville and followed by fellow offensive lineman Caleb Rogers from Texas Tech with the 98th pick by Las Vegas.
