(BCSNN) — Brendan Sullivan, a former quarterback for Iowa and Northwestern, has announced his transfer to Tulane University for the 2025 season. Sullivan, a graduate transfer with one year of eligibility remaining, shared the news on social media, expressing excitement about joining the Green Wave program.
Sullivan began his collegiate career at Northwestern, where he redshirted in 2021 before appearing in limited action over the next two seasons. He transferred to Iowa in 2024, serving as a backup to Cade McNamara before earning the starting role late in the season. Sullivan completed 71.7% of his passes for 475 yards, three touchdowns, and three interceptions, while also rushing for 150 yards and four scores.
At Tulane, Sullivan is expected to compete for the starting quarterback position following the suspension of TJ Finley. The Green Wave, coming off a 9-5 season, aims to improve its passing offense, which ranked 11th in the American Athletic Conference last year. Sullivan’s experience in Power Four programs and his dual-threat capabilities make him a valuable addition to Tulane’s roster.
