TCU Head Football Coach Sonny Dykes has announced the hiring of Josh Bookbinder and Sedrick Williams as assistant coaches.

Bookbinder will work with the linebackers, while Williams will assist with the defensive line.

Bookbinder served the last three seasons as inside linebackers coach at Texas Tech. in 2024, he coached Jacob Rodriguez to First-Team All-Big 12 honors as well as All-America recognition after leading the Big 12 in tackles. Additionally, Ben Roberts was the 2023 Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year and a Freshman All-American. Before his time in Lubbock, Bookbinder was a defensive quality control coach at Baylor for three seasons (2019-21). He also worked at Liberty over the course of six years (2012-18), beginning in defensive quality control before taking over as special teams coordinator and then outside linebackers and linebackers coach.

A 2009 Baylor graduate, Bookbinder is the grandson of legendary Bears Head Coach Grant Teaff. Bookbinder began his coaching career as an undergraduate assistant at his alma mater before moving on to roles at Richmond and Carson-Newman, prior to his time at Liberty. He is a San Antonio native and 2016 participant in the NCAA/AFCA 30-Under-30 Coaches Leadership Institute.

Williams completed his collegiate playing career at Houston in 2023. He was a two-year starter and three-year letterman on the defensive line for the Cougars. He worked this past season as a defensive line assistant and strength and conditioning graduate assistant at Troy.
