TCU's 2025 season-opening football game at North Carolina will be played on Labor Day night, Monday, Sept. 1, at Kenan Stadium in Chapel Hill. Kickoff will be at 6:30 p.m. CDT with the contest televised on ESPN.

The Horned Frogs, who won their final four games and six of the last seven en route to a 9-4 season, signed the Big 12's top recruiting class.

TCU will face 11 Power Four Conference opponents in the 2025 campaign.

TCU has won four of its last five games against ACC opponents. The Horned Frogs and Tar Heels, who will play in Fort Worth in 2026, will meet on the gridiron for just the fourth time in their history. North Carolina won the three previous contests with the most recent one coming in 1997 at Amon G. Carter Stadium. The teams also played in 1940 and 1994 in Chapel Hill.

Record-setting quarterback Josh Hoover headlines the Horned Frogs' returnees this fall. His 3,949 yards passing set a TCU season mark and ranked seventh nationally. His 66.5 completion percentage placed third at TCU, while his 27 touchdown passes tied for fourth. Both totals were in the top 20 in the FBS. Returning All-Big 12 safety Bud Clark will lead the TCU defense.
