The National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF) announced that Duke graduate student wide receiver Jordan Moore has been selected as a semifinalist for the 2024 William V. Campbell Trophy.

Celebrating its 35th year, the Campbell Trophy ® recognizes an individual as the absolute best football scholar-athlete in the nation for his combined academic success, football performance and exemplary leadership.

The NFF will announce 12-15 finalists on Oct. 23, and each of them will receive an $18,000 postgraduate scholarship as a member of the 2024 NFF National Scholar-Athlete Class Presented by Fidelity Investments. One of the finalists will be named the winner of the 35th Campbell Trophy® during the 66th NFF Annual Awards Dinner Presented by Las Vegas on Dec. 10 and have his postgraduate scholarship increased to $25,000.

In December of 2014, Duke won the first William V. Campbell Trophy in program history as former linebacker David Helton took home the prestigious honor.

Moore, a native of Sykesville, Md., is in his fourth season with the Blue Devils and has been instrumental in Duke's success on offense. In 40 career games, 28 starts, he's logged 146 receptions for 1,831 yards (12.39) with 16 touchdowns and added 52 rushes for 256 yards (4.92) with three scores. Moore is one of just 18 Duke players to record a rushing, receiving and passing touchdown during a Duke career, after completing 9-of-19 pass attempts for 95 yards and one score. He is currently riding a 30-game reception streak, which ranks eighth on Duke's all-time chart.

In the classroom, Moore is pursuing a master's degree in management studies after graduating from Duke last May. He finished with a 3.26 GPA and earned his degree in psychology with a markets and management certificate. Moore is also a 2023 NFF Hampshire Honor Society honoree and 2022 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection.

The 203 William V. Campbell Trophy semifinalists have been nominated by their schools as the best all-around student-athlete on their respective football teams. Each nominee must be a senior who will complete his final year of eligibility during the 2024 season or a graduate student or graduate transfer who has already earned a degree and will participate during the 2024 season; have a GPA of at least 3.2 on a 4.0 scale; have outstanding football ability as a first team player or significant contributor and have demonstrated strong leadership and citizenship. The candidates come from all levels of play in the NCAA and the NAIA.

During the past 66 years, the NFF National Scholar-Athlete Awards have truly become one of the most prestigious academic honors in all of college sports, distributing $12.6 million to 922 outstanding individuals since its inception.
