Central Michigan Tight Ends/Tackles Coach Brandon Torey has seven players at tight end who are all competing for playing time. Each player brings different skills and talents to the position.

Returnees include DeCorion Temple, Nathan VanTimmeren, and Jacob Kaminski, who all saw action last year. Alec Palella is coming off an injury after missing the entire 2023 season and Rory Callahan redshirted last year's campaign. The Chippewas add Howard transfer Gavin Harris into the mix and freshman Travis Ambrose.

DeCorion Temple is back for his third season after seeing action in 15 games with one start. He has seven receptions for 119 yards (17.0 yards per reception) with a long of 44 yards. In 2023, he played in 12 games with one start and was listed as a backup tight end on the depth chart. He finished the year with six passes for 75 yards (12.5 yards per catch) on the year and was one of three tight ends who caught passes during the year.

As a sophomore, Jacob Kaminski saw action in seven games of the season's last eight games last year. He contributed one catch for 16 yards.

Alec Palella missed the entire 2023 campaign with an injury. He has played in eight career games combining 2021 and 2022. As a redshirt freshman in 2022, Palella played in four games and was listed as the backup tight end on the depth chart.

Nathan VanTimmeren played in four games as a true freshman last year. He earned a redshirt.

Rory Callahan is back after redshirting his true freshman season. Travis Ambrose joins the position group after earning First Team All-State honors at Muskegon Reeths-Puffer High School.

Howard transfer Gavin Harris saw action in 11 games as a freshman for the Bison. He caught 10 passes for 153 yards and two touchdowns and also returned three kickoffs for 29 yards.
