Temple University and the University of Oklahoma have agreed to move its opening day kickoff from Saturday, August 31, to Friday, August 30. Additionally, Temple's final regular season road game, at UTSA, which was originally scheduled for Friday or Saturday, November 22-23, has been officially set for Friday, November 22.
The Oklahoma game will kick off at 6:00 p.m. CT (7:00p.m. ET) and will be broadcast on ESPN. Kickoff times and broadcast information for the UTSA game has yet to be determined.
The Owls will play the nationally-ranked Sooners, who finished No. 12 in the CFP a year ago, in a home-and-home series with the Philadelphia game scheduled for September 13, 2025.
Temple last played Oklahoma in 1942, coming away with a 14-7 win at home. The only time that the two schools met in Oklahoma, the Sooners escaped with a 9-6 win. Interestingly, this year's game will be played in the same stadium that the Sooners have called home for over 100 years. Oklahoma Memorial Stadium has seen numerous renovations and expansions and now boasts a capacity of over 80,000.
This game will mark 84 years, 30,596 days to be exact, since the last time the Owls visited Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. It is the fourth longest stretch between visits for one school to play another at the same venue, in college football history
