Bowling Green fans, and fans around college football, are breathing a sigh of relief with the news that Falcons linebacker Demetrius Hardamon is now in stable condition and cleared to walk.
This news comes after an orthopedic injury resulted in the Bowling Green player being placed on a backboard and onto a stretcher before being carted off the field at Michigan Stadium.
The university shared an update on Sunday that stated, it hopes Hardamon will soon be released from the hospital.
Hardamon, who was injured during a tackle that involved tight end Colston Loveland in the third quarter of the loss to No. 2 Michigan, recorded three tackles against the Wolverines.
“I saw the hit and I knew right then and there, there was something wrong," Falcons coach Scot Loeffler said Saturday night.
Hardamon, a Beavercreek, Ohio native, totaled at least 25 tackles in each of his previous two seasons, which earned the Bowling Green linebacker academic conference honors in the MAC both times.
