Syracuse hits the road for the first time in 2022 when they take on UConn. The game will air on CBSSN.  Saturday's game is the Orange's only away game in September. Syracuse won't go on the road again until Oct. 22.

The Orange will try to start the campaign with two consecutive victories for the first time since 2018. 'Cuse began that season with four-straight wins, including a victory against UConn, and went on to a 10-3 record and a win in the Camping World Bowl.

SHRADER AMONG THE BEST IN WEEK 1
• QB Garrett Shrader graded as Pro Football Focus' top quarterback in the power five in week one.
• Shrader completed 18-of-25 passes for 236 yards and two scores. He was graded at 93.8 overall with a 94.1 passing grade to lead all power five QBs. His 18 completions were a career high.

CLIMBING THE CHARTS
• RB Sean Tucker became the 15th in program history to surpass 2,200 rushing yards in Syracuse's season-opening win against Louisville.
• Tucker rushed for 100 yards against the Cardinals to increase his career total to 2,222 yards. That total ranks 14th on the Orange's all-time rushing list.
• Tucker needs 28 yards to move past Kyle McIntosh for 13th and enters Saturday's game 166 yards behind the legendary Ernie Davis for 12th.

SERIES HISTORY
• Syracuse and UConn will meet for the 12th when they take the field Saturday. The Huskies hold a slight advantage in the series, 6-5, however, the Orange has outscored UConn, 122-55 in the last three meetings, all of which were 'Cuse wins.
• The squads played every season from 2004 to 2012 as members of The BIG EAST Conference.

LAST TIME VS. UCONN
• Syracuse scored touchdowns on its first three possessions and never looked back in a 51-21 win on its home field in 2018.
• Three three touchdowns were scored in a total of 5:19 of playing time. The third score came on a three-play, 42-yard drive.
• QB Eric Dungey played a role in five of Syracuse's touchdowns as he rushed three and passed for two more. Dungey finished with 84 yards on the ground and was 21-of-27 for 286 yards through the air.
• LB Kielan Whitner led the defense with nine tackles, while DL Alton Robinson recorded three sacks.
• The win was Syracuse's fourth straight to start the season, its best start since the 1991 season.

TUCKER ACROSS THE CENTURY MARK
• RB Sean Tucker has rushed for 100+ yards in 13-of-21 career games, including an even 100 in the season opener against Louisville.
• He set the school record in 2021 with 100+ yards in seven consecutive games.
• Tucker recorded a career-high 207 yards against Boston College last season to become the 10th player in program history to rush for 200+ yards in a game.
• Tucker had nine 100+ rushing totals in 12 games in 2021, which is a single-season school record.
• He is tied for fourth place on 'Cuse's leader list for career 100-yard rushing games with Floyd Little and James Mungro.

WILLIAMS BREAKIN' UP
• DB Garrett Williams ranked third in the ACC in 2021 in passes defended with 1.00 per game. That average tied for 27th in the nation.
• He recorded 10 pass break ups in 2021, which tied for first in the ACC and for 34th in the nation. It marked the second-straight year he led the league in that category.
• Williams ranks 11th on the Orange's all-time pass breakups record list.
• He also led the ACC in passes defended as a redshirt freshman in 2020 with 12.
• Williams ranks sixth among active ACC players with 23 career passes defended.
