As Spring Football continues to ramp across the country, we have been sharing the incoming reports from campuses throughout the Big 12, including the latest from Oklahoma State Football.
The Cowboys Athletic Department shot over this update on the Cowboys offensive line as we continue to look ahead to the 2022 Big 12 football season.
Take a look...
The Cowboys lose two key starters in guard Josh Sills and center Danny Godlevske, who combined for 97 starts and six all-conference seasons in their careers, but return the majority of their starters on the offensive line.
Redshirt senior Hunter Woodard returns as the leader of the group with 22 career starts, including 12 at right guard in 2021. He's joined by redshirt junior tackles Cole Birmingham, who started every game last season, and Preston Wilson, who started eight games, as the core of the unit heading into 2022.
Although those are the main pieces of last year's line, several more return with meaningful experience, and all should compete for a spot in the starting lineup. Joe Michalski is back after starting the final four games at center last season, and tackles Jake Springfield and Taylor Miterko are also back with starting experience under their belts. All three are redshirt juniors in 2022.
Three others return with in-game FBS experience, including sophomore Silas Barr, who also played at Cowboy Back last year, redshirt junior Caleb Etienne and redshirt sophomore Eli Russ.
Jake Henry, Hilton Marsh, Darian Jones and Logan Nobles have all been in the program for a year and provide depth, while junior college product Tyrone Webber arrives early from New Mexico Military Institute to practice this spring.
