Fresh off standout performances at the 2022 Reese's Senior Bowl, University of Memphis Football wide receiver Calvin Austin III and offensive lineman Dylan Parham were invited to the NFL Scouting Combine.
A total of 324 prospects are invited to attend this year's combine, which will take place in Indianapolis from March 1 through March 7.
Memphis has had at least one student-athlete invited to the NFL Combine for 11-straight years, with a total of 22 players earning the honor over that stretch.
Austin III was unanimously named First-Team All-AAC, one of just three players in the conference unanimously chosen. Austin III led the conference in receiving yards per game (95.8) and finished second in the AAC in receiving yards (1,149) and fourth in receptions per game (6.2). On the year, he totaled 74 receptions for 1,149 yards and eight touchdowns. Austin III is the first wide receiver in program history to earn first-team all-conference honors in back-to-back seasons.
Austin III's 1,149 receiving yards rank fifth on the program's single-season list, while his eight touchdowns tied for 11th. He also posted two of the top-five single-game receiving yards performances in school history in 2021. His 239 yards at Arkansas State rank second all-time, while his 200 at Tulsa rank fifth.
Parham established himself as one of the best offensive linemen not only in the AAC, but in the nation in 2021, earning First-Team All-AAC accolades. He started all 12 games for the Tigers at right guard, not allowing a single sack in 545 pass protection snaps. In total, Parham only allowed two quarterback hits on the year.
Parham helped Memphis finish the season ranked 16th in the nation in passing offense (298.8) and 38th in total offense (434.9). On the year, the Tigers posted 400 or more total yards on offense seven times, including 680 in the win at Arkansas State and 614 at Tulsa.
