Oklahoma freshmen Caleb Williams (offensive) and Mario Williams (newcomer) joined Kansas State’s Felix Anudike-Uzomah (defensive) and Oklahoma State’s Tanner Brown (special teams) as Big 12 Football Players of the Week for games of October 30. Caleb Williams picked up his third weekly honor of the season while Anudike-Uzomah was recognized for the second time.

Caleb Williams set an Oklahoma true freshman record with 402 passing yards and tied the school freshman record with six touchdown passes (most ever by an OU true freshman) in the Sooners' 52-21 win over Texas Tech. He completed 23 of 30 passes (76.7%) and finished with a 255.2 passing efficiency rating, which was the best nationally for the week and the best in the country this season among quarterbacks who attempted at least 30 passes. Williams became just the third player in OU history to throw for at least six touchdowns without an interception, joining Heisman Trophy winners Baker Mayfield (2016 vs. Texas Tech) and Kyler Murray (2018 vs. Baylor). On the season, Williams, who has started three games, has 14 TD passes against one interception and ranks second nationally with his 203.7 passing efficiency mark.

Anudike-Uzomah registered eight total tackles, 4.0 sacks for 20 yards, 4.0 TFL and also forced two fumbles in K-State’s 31-12 win over TCU. His two forced fumbles also would have added two sacks to his total but the fumbles caused on the pass plays bounced forward. His 4.0 sacks tied Chris Johnson for the K-State single-game record and was just one shy of the Big 12 record. Anudike-Uzomah had sacks on back-to-back plays to end the first half and on the first play of the second half. He and Johnson are the only players in school history to have sacks on three-straight defensive plays, as the latter also did so in his 4.0-sack game at Missouri in 2000. K-State held TCU without an offensive touchdown until a late fourth-quarter score. Anudike-Uzomah was also named the Walter Camp National Defensive Player of the Week.

Brown kicked a career-long 49-yard field goal to put OSU up 10-0 early in the 55-3 win over Kansas. He scored 10 total points to lead all players in the game and was perfect on his eight place kicks. Brown also kicked off seven times with four touchbacks. KU's starting field position average following Brown's kickoffs was inside its own 25-yard line.

Mario Williams caught a team-high five passes for a career-high 100 yards and a touchdown in Oklahoma's win over TTU. His 22-yard first-quarter TD reception accounted for the first points of the game and marked his first touchdown since the second game of the season (was his third of the year). Among Williams' other receptions were ones of 26 and 36 yards. The 36-yarder was a career-long.
