(BCSNN) — Texas Tech has officially added Villanova transfer Josiah Moseley to its roster, the program announced. Moseley, a 6-foot-6, 228-pound forward, brings three years of eligibility to the Red Raiders after a freshman season with the Wildcats that showcased his potential despite limited playing time.
During his lone season at Villanova, Moseley appeared in 30 games, averaging 1.9 points and 2.3 rebounds in just over 10 minutes per contest. A former four-star recruit from Round Rock, Texas, Moseley was ranked as the No. 73 overall prospect in the 2024 recruiting class. Known for his versatility, he has the ability to play both inside and outside, creating matchup challenges for opponents.
Moseley’s addition bolsters a Texas Tech roster that has undergone significant changes under head coach Grant McCasland. The Red Raiders are looking to build on their Elite Eight appearance in the 2025 NCAA Tournament, and Moseley’s size and skill set are expected to provide valuable depth and flexibility in the frontcourt.
With a fresh start in Lubbock, Moseley aims to expand his role and make a greater impact on the court. His combination of athleticism and potential positions him as a key piece in Texas Tech’s pursuit of a Big 12 title and another deep postseason run.
