UCF men’s basketball four-year star Darius Johnson will participate in the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, suiting up with Mike Duman, Inc. from April 16-19.

Since 1953, the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament has invited 64 senior college basketball players from across the nation to compete before professional scouts. Eight teams of eight players play a 12-game tournament over 4 days, with each player hoping to reach their dreams of becoming a professional basketball player. Over the years, the P.I.T. has welcomed players that are now household names, like Scottie Pippen, Tim Hardaway, Dennis Rodman, Jimmy Butler, Rick Barry, Earl “The Pearl” Monroe, Dave Cowens and more.

Johnson’s first game will be against Jani-King on April 17 at 9 p.m. His team will suit up the following day at either 3:15 p.m. with a loss or 9 p.m. with a victory. From there, the Mike Duman, Inc. squad will play in one of the final four games of the tournament on April 19.

Johnson completed his remarkable UCF career with 1,586 points for an eighth-place all-time finish as a Knight. He also finishes second in steals (239), third in assists (470), third in games played (125), fourth in made three pointers (218) and fifth in free throw percentage (81.4%) among UCF career ranks. His 644 points this season are the sixth most in a campaign by a Knight, and his 83 steals are the most in a season in UCF’s Division I tenure.

Johnson averaged 17.4 points per game during the 2024-25 season, the fifth highest clip in the Big 12 Conference. He was just as impressive on the defensive side of the ball, snatching 2.24 steals per game, a mark that ranked him 20th nationally and second in the conference.
