Noah Reynolds scored 19 points to lead the TCU men's basketball team, which fell 65-46 at No. 12 Houston Monday night at the Fertitta Center.
The senior guard, who earlier in the day was named the Big 12 Co-Newcomer of the Week, was 9-of-16 from the field, which tied a season high for made shots.
Houston (11-3, 3-0) led from the opening tip, jumping out to a 15-4 lead. TCU (8-6, 1-2) cut the deficit to seven at halftime, 29-22.
The Horned Frogs got to within one possession, 29-26, two minutes into the second half on a layup by Vasean Allette. The sophomore guard finished with 11 points. The Cougars scored the next nine points and from then on, never led by less than double figures.
The top-ranked Cougar defense forced the Frogs into a season-high 19 turnovers as TCU's scoring came from just five players.
It was the 30th consecutive home win by the defending Big 12 Champions.
TCU will try to improve upon its 8-0 home record when it hosts BYU on Saturday at 1 p.m. on ESPN2.
