The early portion of the upcoming 2024-25 season has been set for Wake Forest men's basketball, as the Demon Deacons announced their non-conference schedule.

Six such contests will unfold inside Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum, beginning with the season opener on Nov. 4 versus Coppin State. Later that same week, Wake Forest will host in-state foe North Carolina A&T (Nov. 7).

The Deacons' third appearance of the season takes them to nearby Greensboro for a neutral-site contest versus Michigan on Nov. 10, inside the Greensboro Coliseum. All fans will have the opportunity to buy tickets for the Sunday game beginning on July 24, with prices starting at just $25. Additionally, season ticket holders, Deacon Club members, and International Leadership Circle members will receive a pre-sale promo code for their priority sales windows opening on July 10.

Wake Forest then returns home for a midweek matchup against USC Upstate (Nov. 13) before traveling for its first true road test of the season – a trip to Xavier University on Nov. 16. An additional pair of home outings, versus Western Carolina (Nov. 19) and Detroit (Nov. 23), are set to follow.

Over Thanksgiving, the Deacs will compete in the ESPN Events Invitiational in Orlando, Florida. Opponents and game times will be announced at a later date.

Opening December, Wake Forest is primed to visit Texas A&M in the second edition of the SEC/ACC Challenge. The two sides will match up for the third time in program history, having last met in College Station for the Quarterfinals of the 2022 National Invitation Tournament.

Two weeks later, Wake Forest will bring James Madison to LJVM Coliseum for its final showing of non-conference action on Dec. 17.

In Case You Missed It
Earlier this year, Wake Forest announced the home and away opponents for the conference slate of the 2024-25 schedule. The Deacs will host all three Big Four schools inside LJVM this season, and will also host newcomer Stanford. In addition, fans can catch matchups against Notre Dame, Georgia Tech, Boston College, Florida State, Pitt and Virginia at home in Winston-Salem.

Official dates and times of conference games will be released at a later date.
