Tulane University men's basketball standout Kevin Cross has signed a contract to play for the NBA's Charlotte Hornets in the NBA 2K25 Summer League 2024.
Cross will join the Hornets in Las Vegas to compete in the 11-day competition from July 12-22. The Charlotte Hornets will play at least five games in the NBA 2K25 Summer League 2024 beginning on July 13 at 4 p.m. on ESPN2. The full Hornets schedule can be found below.
Despite going undrafted in the 2024 NBA Draft, Cross worked out in front of eight NBA teams including the Hornets. He also showcased his talents for the Atlanta Hawks, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers, New Orleans Pelicans, Orlando Magic, and Washington Wizards.
Cross averaged a career-best 17.5 points per game while shooting 51.3 percent from the field, 42.3 percent from three-point ranges, and 81.8 percent from the free throw line as a senior. In his final season in Uptown he posted double figures in 25 of his 30 games including 13 games with 20 points or more, highlighted by a career-high 31 points against Wichita State.
During his career with the Green Wave, he tallied 1,517 points, which ranks seventh most all-time. He also ranks in the top five in program history in career assists with 394 and top 10 in career rebounds with 717. Cross earned all-conference honors three times and was name NABC All-District twice during his time with Tulane.
