The University of Tulsa men's basketball program officially added Georgia State transfer guard Dwon Odom to the 2024-25 roster, Golden Hurricane head coach Eric Konkol announced.

The 6-2 senior brings plenty of experience to the Golden Hurricane and is the fourth newcomer added to the roster for the upcoming season.

"We're very excited Dwon has chosen to join us," Konkol said. "He has experience playing at a high level in college, and we look forward to him bringing that experience to our program. He's exceptional at getting into the paint and scoring or playmaking for others. He also has a history and reputation of being a great on-ball defender. He is very excited about joining our program, the Tulsa community and having a great senior year."

A 4-star transfer according to EvanMiya, Odom has scored 1,093 career points and recorded more than 350 assists in his four years at Georgia State and Xavier.

The Alpharetta, Ga. native played his last two seasons with the Panthers, where he was a two-year starter at point guard. He posted averages of 12.4 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.3 assists across 60 games alongside 51 steals and 37 blocked shots. This past season, Odom averaged 11.8 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.6 assists while shooting 51.6 percent from the floor and 81.0 percent at the charity stripe.

He recorded career-highs with 30 points at Coastal Carolina last year and 11 rebounds at Southern Miss. In his sophomore campaign, the guard dished out 11 assists against Coastal Carolina, nearly matching it last season with a 10-assist performance against Marshall.

Prior to joining Georgia State, Odom started his career with Xavier. He made 55 appearances with 20 starts for the Musketeers over two seasons, posting averages of 6.4 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists.

Odom was a four-year starter at St. Francis in Georgia, playing in all 126 games of his career and helping his team to back-to-back Georgia Class A Private School State Championships in his junior and senior campaigns. Odom scored more than 2,350 career points and posted a 109-17 record in high school. He was a two-time Class A State Player of the year and three-time Regional Player of the Year selection. Odom was a 4-star recruit out of high school with top-50 rankings from 247sports and Rivals.
