The University of Memphis men's basketball program announced an upcoming home-and-home series with Mississippi State over the next two seasons.

The Tigers and Bulldogs begin the series in the Bluff City on Dec. 21, 2024, at FedExForum before squaring off in 2025-26 at Humphrey Coliseum in Starkville, Mississippi on a to-be-determined date. Tip times have not been announced.

Additional games on Memphis' 2024-25 schedule will be announced in the coming weeks. Season tickets to see the Tigers are available for purchase now at THIS LINK or by calling the Memphis Ticket Office at (901) 678-2331.

Memphis and Mississippi State have previously met 25 times in the series history, though just two of those have come in the last 40 years. The Tigers have a 14-11 advantage all-time over the Bulldogs and have won the last four meetings dating back to 1983.

The two sides last met March 28, 2021, in Frisco, Texas where the Tigers claimed a 77-64 victory to secure the program's second National Invitation Tournament (NIT) championship.

Memphis is no stranger to scheduling Southeastern Conference opponents in the six seasons under head coach Penny Hardaway. The Tigers are 12-8 overall against SEC foes in that span, including 8-2 the last two seasons.

Memphis is coming off its sixth-straight 20-plus win season in 2023-24 after finishing 22-10. The Tigers recorded seven wins against Power Five programs, had four victories over top-25 opponents and climbed as high as No. 10 in the Associated Press poll in January.

Mississippi State finished 21-14 overall, 8-10 against SEC opponents and posted three wins over top-10 teams a season ago. The Bulldogs earned a second-straight NCAA Tournament appearance in just the second season with Chris Jans at the helm.
