TCU gained its third transfer of the spring when it added Brendan Wenzel to the roster.

The San Antonio, Texas, native played the last three seasons for Wyoming and averaged 11.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists last season. Wenzel had five games scoring 20 or more points including a season-high 25 points at Air Force where he made 6-of-8 from 3-point range. For the season, Wenzel shot 37.7 percent from three and earned Honorable Mention All-Mountain West honors.

The 6-7 guard averaged 7.9 points and 3.8 rebounds per game, while hitting 41 percent from 3-point range during the 2022-23 season. Wenzel's standout game came against Louisiana Tech when he went 5-of-7 from 3-point range and finished with a season-high 20 points.

Overall, Wenzel appeared in 87 games and made 64 starts for the Cowboys, while scoring 718 points and making 142 3-pointers.

Prior to Wyoming, Wenzel appeared in two games for Utah, before redshirting the 2019-20 season.

As a senior at O'Connor High School, Wenzel was a three-star recruit and ranked as the No. 18 recruit in the state of Texas according to Rivals.com. He averaged 24.1 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game while shooting 41 percent from 3-point range and 87 percent from the free throw line. Wenzel was named TABC Class 6A All-State First Team.

Wenzel joins Frankie Collins and Noah Reynolds as transfers who have signed with the Frogs since the season ended.
