OSU's defense set the tone, holding the Chicago State (7-14) to 29.0% from the field.
The Cowboys shot 48.1% and held a 43-31 advantage on the boards.
Dailey grabbed nine rebounds and Brandon Garrison added four blocks to his growing total.
The Cowboys forced 13 straight Cougar misses during an early 15-0 run that pushed their lead to 24-6 with just over 12:00 remaining in the first half.
Quion Williams delivered a pair of highlight reel dunks during that stretch, including a one-hand alley-oop from Dailey.
Thompson scored 11 of his 13 points before halftime to send OSU into locker room with a 43-25 cushion. The Cowboys shot 57.7% to CSU's 26.5% in the opening half, helped by a 14-0 advantage in fastbreak points.
OSU scored the first seven points out of the locker room to take its largest lead of the of the night, 50-25 near the 17:00-mark, and coasted from there.
Jahsean Corbett had 20 points and seven rebounds for CSU, which was less than 24 hours removed from a 72-65 road loss at Kansas State. The Cougars spent the night in Manhattan, Kan. before making a roughly four-hour bus ride into Stillwater on Wednesday morning.
