Steve Settle III, a 6-10, 180-pound redshirt junior forward who played the last three seasons at Howard, has signed a men's basketball aid agreement to attend Temple University.
Settle, who will have two seasons of eligibility remaining, becomes the fourth signee by new head coach Adam Fisher, joining Jordan Riley, a 6-4, 200-pound sophomore guard who played the last two seasons at Georgetown, Quante Berry, a 6-4, 175-pound freshman guard who redshirted last season at Providence, and Matteo Picarelli, a 6-2, 185-pound guard, who played the last three seasons at UMBC.
"We are extremely excited to welcome Steve Settle III to the Temple Family," said Fisher. "Steve's versatility on the offensive and defensive end will be a major asset for us next season. His ability to stretch the floor as well as make an impact in the paint will allow us to really open the floor up.
Defensively, Steve can guard multiple positions and uses his length to create havoc both on and off the ball. Coming from Howard, a team that went to the NCAA Tournament last season, Steve will bring a championship mindset on a daily basis to the Owls. We are excited to welcome Steve and the whole Settle family to our Temple family!"
"From the moment I talked to Coach Fisher I felt an energy about basketball that I had never felt before," said Settle. "Throughout the recruiting process Coach Fisher gave me a different level of confidence in my abilities. I look forward to being a part of the tradition of Temple Basketball."
A native of Glenarden, Md.
