Utah State head men's basketball coach Danny Sprinkle announced the signing of Josh Uduje to the 2023-24 roster.
Uduje, a 6-foot-5 guard, joins the Aggies after playing two seasons at Coastal Carolina, where he appeared in 64 career games, including 39 starts, averaging 9.9 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game while shooting 42.1 percent (230-of-546) from the field, 31.9 percent (80-of-251) from behind the arc and 81.6 percent (93-of-114) at the free throw line.
During the 2022-23 season, Uduje led Coastal Carolina with 13.2 points and 1.3 steals per game, while adding 3.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game. He finished the campaign shooting 42.0 percent (146-of-348) from the floor, 31.6 percent (50-of-158) from 3-point range and 90.5 percent (67-of-74) at the free throw line after appearing in all 31 games, including 30 starts.
In his freshman campaign, Uduje appeared in 33 games, making nine starts, averaging 6.8 points and 2.8 rebounds per game, while shooting 42.4 percent (84-of-198) from the field and 32.3 percent (30-of-93) from deep.
The native of London, England, has scored in double figures 32 times in his career, including six 20-plus point outings. Uduje scored a career-best 33 points against South Alabama (Jan. 21, 2023). The guard has grabbed at least five rebounds in 19 games, including a career-high nine boards against Old Dominion (Jan. 28, 2023). He has dished out multiple assists in 17 games, including a career-best four dimes twice. Uduje has recorded multiple steals in 13 games, including a career-high five against College of Charleston (Dec. 19, 2022).
