Through careful consideration, the Mountain West announced rescheduled dates for games postponed or canceled throughout the 2020-21 season on Tuesday. New Mexico is now set to play Colorado State on March 3 at a time to be determined.
The Lobos’ game against Colorado State will be featured on the Mountain West Network.
New Mexico had four games this season canceled or postponed. One of the two scheduled contests against Colorado State were postponed. As one of those games will now be made up, the other will be considered canceled and declared a “no contest.”
As for the Lobos’ canceled series against San Diego State, the series “has been declared a ‘forfeit’ by the Conference membership due to the circumstances involved.” The conference said in a release. As a result, “SDSU will be awarded two wins and New Mexico two losses for final regular-season standings and Conference tournament seeding purposes only. According to the NCAA, this does not change an institution’s official overall won-lost record.”
Tip time for the game on March 3 at Colorado State will be announced once finalized.
