NC State men's basketball guard Jarkel Joiner was named Co-ACC Player of the Week by the league office.

Louisville's El Ellis shared the honor with Joiner.

ACC men's basketball weekly honors are determined by a vote of a 15-member media panel and announced on Mondays throughout the regular season.

Joiner had a stellar week for the Pack, posting the fifth triple-double in school history on Tuesday at Syracuse and then followed up that performance with a season-high tying 29 points in the win over North Carolina on Sunday.

Against Syracuse, Joiner scored 15 points, passed out a career-high 11 assists and grabbed 10 rebounds for his first career triple-double. He's the fourth different player at NC State to post a triple-double (Julius Hodge, Dennis Smith, Jr. (twice) and Markell Johnson). Joiner's triple-double is the 38th in ACC history and just the 14th in league play.

On Sunday, Joiner scored a game-high 29 points to lead NC State to a 77-69 win over North Carolina. Joiner scored 20 of his 29 points in the second half as he closed the game making his final seven field goal attempts.

UNC led 54-48 with 10 minutes to play when Joiner took over. He scored 18 of the Pack's remaining 29 points as NC State closed the game on a 29-15 run.

Joiner and his teammates are back in action Wednesday night at 9 p.m. when they host Wake Forest at PNC Arena.
