Three Musketeers hit double figures as No. 13 Xavier men's basketball fell, 84-67, to Creighton at the CHI Health Center Arena on Saturday afternoon. Xavier moved to 17-5 overall and 9-2 in BIG EAST play.
Xavier lead 8-3 in the opening minutes of the game before an 11-3 Creighton run put the Bluejays in front. Two early fouls on Zach Freemantle and Jack Nunge limited the Musketeers for the final 10 minutes of the first half, going in the break down 14, 42-28.
In the second half, Creighton maintained the double-digit lead until a 9-0 Xavier lead cut the deficit back to six, 55-49, with 12 minutes to play. A 15-2 Creighton run pushed the lead back to double figures, and the Bluejays maintained the lead for the remainder of the game before taking the 84-67 win.

- Zach Freemantle led Xavier with 18 points, shooting 8-of-11 from the floor including 2-of-3 from three.
- Colby Jones had 13 points after leading Xavier with 10 second half points on 5-of-6 shooting from the floor after halftime.
- Adam Kunkel finished with 12 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the floor and grabbed a team-high seven rebounds.
- Creighton finished with a 33-26 advantage on the boards.
- Xavier finished shooting 48 percent from the floor after shooting 58 percent in the second half.
