For the first time in four seasons, TCU men's basketball will play SMU, when the two meet at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth on Dec. 10, 2022.

The two DFW Metroplex schools have met 193 times, the most played opponent for the Horned Frogs. TCU has won the past two meetings, the most recent being a 67-59 win on Dec. 5, 2018 in Dallas.

It will be the first neutral site meeting between the two schools since Nov. 8, 2013, when SMU won 69-61 at American Airlines Center in Dallas.

TCU is 2-1 all-time in Dickies Arena, which opened in 2019. The Horned Frogs defeated Utah last season, 76-62.

Time and television coverage will be announced at a later date. The neutral site game is not part of the TCU season ticket package. There will be more information for TCU season ticket holders and TCU students announced at a later date.

This past season, TCU finished with a record of 21-13 overall and 8-10 with a fifth-place finish in the Big 12. Its schedule ranked as the sixth toughest in the country. The Horned Frogs return all five starters from last season's team which made it to the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 35 seasons.
