Wichita State head coach Isaac Brown announced the signing of Louisiana high school standout Jacob Wilson to a letter of intent.

Wilson – a 6-foot-5 guard from Baton Rouge – earned first team all-state honors in Class 4A this spring after averaging 20 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals. He was selected for next month's Louisiana's East-West All-Star Game as one of the state's top seniors.

Wilson tallied 1,875 career points for Liberty Magnet High School (which competes in the second-largest of Louisiana's four private school classifications) while leading the Patriots to a Division II state semifinal appearance in 2021 and a runner-up finish in 2022.

"Jacob is a guy who can handle multiple positions because of his size, skill and basketball IQ," Brown said. "He has a high ceiling and will be a very good player in our program."
