No. 2 Texas Baseball's Aaron Nixon and Tanner Witt were both named to the Perfect Game Freshman All-America team, the organization announced.
Witt, a first team selection, has a team-high 26 appearances this season with a 3.06 ERA in 50 innings pitched this season. He's struck out 71 batters to only 22 walks and has held opponents to a .199 batting average against.
Nixon, who was named to the second team, leads Texas with eight saves, while sporting a 2.35 ERA and 34 strikeouts in 30 2/3 innings pitched. The McAllen, Texas, product has held opponents to a .216 opponents' batting average.
The duo join Pete Hansen as a freshman All-American, after the lefty was named to the NCWBA freshman All-American team.
