Duke baseball was selected as the No. 2 seed in the Conway, S.C., regional Monday, the selection committee announced. The selection marks the 10th NCAA tournament appearance for the Blue Devils, and the first since 2021.
Regionals will run June 2-5 at Springs Brooks Stadium in Conway, S.C.
Duke (35-21) is slated to open the regional against No. 3 seed UNCW (34-21), while host Coastal Carolina (39-19) earned the top seed and will open play against Rider (35-19).
The winner of the double-elimination NCAA Regional will advance to a best-of-three NCAA Super Regional, which will run from June 8-10 or 9-11. The Conway Regional winner will face the winner of the Charlottesville Regional, which features Virginia, ECU, Oklahoma and Army. The College World Series will be played in Omaha, Neb., from June 15-26.
Head coach Chris Pollard leads the Blue Devils to a regional for the fifth time in 11 seasons (2016, 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2023). Prior to arriving at Duke, the Blue Devils had competed in just five NCAA Tournaments (1952, 1953, 1956, 1957, and 1961).
