Six Big 12 programs were selected to compete in the 2023 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship. It is the highest number of selections for the Conference since 2017 and the 66.7% of schools selected are the second-most among all conferences.

No. 11 Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, TCU, Texas, Texas Tech and West Virginia were selected to the field of 64. Regional play begins Friday, June 2 in a double-elimination format. This marks the 20th time in 26 seasons that the Big 12 has at least five teams participating in regionals.
 
TCU (37-22) earned the Conference’s automatic bid after winning the Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship and takes its six-game win streak to Fayetteville (Ark.). The Horned Frogs take on regional 3-seed Arizona at 8 p.m. Friday on ESPNU, with its second game against Arkansas or Santa Clara.
 
Oklahoma (31-26) is back in the field of 64 after reaching the National Championship series in Omaha a season ago. The Sooners head to the Charlottesville (Va.) Regional, where a matchup with East Carolina awaits (6 p.m. Friday, ESPN2). Virginia and Army West Point complete the Charlottesville Region.
 
Oklahoma State (41-18) hosts a regional for the second consecutive year, as the Cowboys earned the No. 11 national seed after sharing the Big 12 regular season title. O’Brate Stadium hosts No. 2 seed Dallas Baptist, No. 3 seed Washington and No. 4 seed Oral Roberts. OSU, who has the third-longest active streak with 10 consecutive regional selections, opens with Oral Roberts at 6 p.m. on Friday.
 
Texas (38-20) faces Louisiana-Lafayette on Friday at 1 p.m. on Longhorn Network, as the Big 12 regular season co-champions look for a third consecutive trip to the College World Series. The Longhorns, making their 62nd overall NCAA Tournament appearance, are the No. 2 seed in the Coral Gables (Fla.) Regional, paired with Miami (Fla.) and Maine.
 
Texas Tech (39-21) was picked for the Gainesville (Fla.) Regional, where it will open against Connecticut (11 a.m. Friday, ESPNU). It is the seventh consecutive at-large selection for the Red Raiders, who will contend with Florida and Florida A&M while in Gainesville.
 
West Virginia (39-18) returns to NCAA play for the first time since 2019 at the Lexington (Ky.) Regional. The Mountaineers, who nabbed a share of the Big 12 regular season title for the first time in program history, open with Indiana at 7 p.m. ET on Friday, with the winner set to face the winner of Kentucky and Ball State.
 
Selection of the eight super regional hosts will be announced on www.NCAA.com/mcws, Tuesday, June 6 at 9 a.m. CT. The Men’s College World Series begins play Friday, June 16, at Charles Schwab Field Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska.
