TCU exploded for seven runs in the eighth to break a 5-5 tie and ran away with a 12-5 victory over No. 12 Oklahoma State to secure the series victory Saturday afternoon. Elijah Nunez tied the game in the fourth and delivered the big blow in the eighth, finishing the day with two hits and two RBIs.

The Rundown
A lead-off walk to Brayden Taylor got the Frogs started in the eighth. Back-to-back singles from Cole Fontenelle and Anthony Silva loaded the bases with nobody out. A wild pitch allowed Taylor to score the go-ahead run. Kurtis Byrne worked a bases-loaded walk to give the Frogs a 7-5 lead. Elijah Nunez's base hit to center was misplayed allowing two more runs to score. Back-to-back doubles from Tre Richardson and Taylor gave the Frogs a healthy 12-5 lead.

Garrett Wright (2-1), who took over with two on and two out in the seventh, retired the side in order in the ninth to lock up the come-from-behind victory. He finished the game with four strikeouts in 2 1/3 innings of work.

Oklahoma State opened up a 1-0 lead in the second, but TCU had an answer in the form of a two out, three run home run courtesy of Kurtis Byrne for a 3-1 lead.

The Cowboys battled back with four in the fourth to regain the lead, 5-3. Again, TCU had the answer in the bottom of the inning. A wild pitch brought home Fontenelle to make it 5-4. A two-out double from Nunez tied the game.

Cam Brown started and allowed five runs on five hits in three innings of work. He walked four and struck out three in the no-decision. Sam Stoutenborough tossed 3 2/3 scoreless innings. He walked three and fanned four.
