Charlotte 3B Austin Knight leads a trio of Conference USA players selected to 2022 Perfect Game/Rawlings Preseason College All-American teams, the publication announced. Knight was a first team selection, while Old Dominion 2B Carter Trice earned second team distinction and Florida Atlantic 1B Nolan Schanuel was named to the third team. The teams were selected based on a combination of factors including statistics from 2021, prospect status, 2022 expectations, and ranking relative to their draft status.

He helped lead the Monarchs to a 44-16 overall record, their first conference championship in 20 years and the first No. 1 seed in a regional in program history.
Schanuel had a fantastic true freshman campaign for the Owls, ranking at the top of the Conference USA leaderboard in nearly every hitting category.
