The Rice Owls men's track and field team completed their final meet of the regular season, winning three events at the Tom Tellez Invitational, hosted by the University of Houston.
All three victories for the Owls came in the field events, including the first by sophomore javelin thrower Ari Broussard (55.93m), setting a season-best. Sophomore Ese Amata cleared 2.10m to win the high jump while Elian Ahmar continued his strong campaign in the shot out with a winning mark of 17.34m.
The Owls will now turn their eyes on the Conferene USA Championships, which take place next week at UTSA.
